Winter Break: a time for family, friends and a much needed break for many college students and professors unless you sign up for the Socio-Economic Realities in Central America capstone at the Unitversity of Northern Iowa. Little did the students know just how much impact this trip would have on them and how it would change their outlook on the area and the people that they would encounter along the way. This was not a vacation but rather an immersion into the lives and culture of the people of Nicaragua.
